12 Gorgeous Heels That Are Insanely Comfortable, And We Have Almost Zero Tolerance For Heels
We thought our passion for heels had died. We were incorrect.
by The Candidly Team
This entire article is actually inspired by a single tweet that’s been living in our heads rent-free for more than a year. Here it is:
Having felt very seen/ inspired by this tweet ourselves, we shared it on our Insta account, and turns out, many of you feel the same.
And so, we decided to do the world a favor and bring the pursuit of finding an “orthopedic but slutty” shoe to fruition. Turns out, we found 12.
That’s right, exactly one dozen sexy, gorgeous shoes that offer a medical level of comfort on our tired, achy feet.
And here they are.
1. M. Gemi The Esatto 90mm
Yes, the faded denim has a chokehold on our 1989 souls, but this shoe in black patent or cappuccino suede has put an end to our quest for the perfect, perfect lifetime pump. Every one of M. Gemi’s shoes is hand-crafted in Italy with details like padded insoles and cushioning to ensure we don’t hate our lives while wearing them.
Price: $328
2. Margaux The Platform Sandal
We’re not overstating when we say this is the single most comfortable heel we’ve tried on in the past decade. A block heel is the biggest hack for being able to withstand long hours in high shoes without internally shrieking “mercy” and running home to our slippers. And all Margaux shoes come in 3 width options to ensure a perfect fit. Other than that, it’s just about the jaw-dropping beauty.
Price: $375
6. Badgley Mischka Cady
The sexy and sophisticated dress-up shoe we’ve been waiting decades to find. Just add your (our) fav little black dress, and you’re an Audrey Hepburn-level of done.
7. Bibi Lou Simple Strappy Kitten Heels
We live most of our lives in fear that a tall, skinny heel will make us snap an ankle but that a kitten heel will make us look like a schoolmarm. This is the first shoe that’s balanced both these elements so beautifully that we’re actively excited to put them on. So much so that we’re wearing them to every event we’re invited to from May to September. They’re so soft and supportive, we forget we’re in heels. We bought them in beige, but the whole color selection is bliss.
Price: $120
10. Beek Ibis Platform Heeled Sandal
Beek is famous for making buttery leather, minimalist slides we’d happily live in. But there is real brilliance in molding that concept into this curvy cartoon-heel shape. This shoe is so luxuriously supportive. And you’ll be floored by how well it balances your outfits so you never look top heavy or like an upside-down triangle.
Price: $320
11. Dolce Vita Meeza Heels
In the same way that your comfiest wireless bra becomes sexy the minute you buy it in mesh, these open-toe, kitten heels up-level their oomph by 87 degrees with their sheerness. The black is very chic but there are 3 nude(ish) colors that we’re equally obsessed with.
Price: $60
